Job Summary

Lead archaeological investigations and prepare technical reports for medium-to-large environmental projects. Key Responsibilities

•Conduct archeology investigations and prepare reports for a variety of clients across the southwestern United States.
•Schedule, manage, and conduct fieldwork and associated archaeological documentation.
•Contribute to development of NEPA-compliant documentation and help develop and implement programmatic agreements with federal and state agencies.
•Work collaboratively with public and private project teams while managing concurrent assignments.
•Prepare proposals for internal and external clients and perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Key Requirements

•BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field (MS/MA preferred).
•5–7+ years of professional experience researching, analyzing, developing, and managing archaeological and historic preservation plans, staff, and resources.
•Meet Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards for Archaeology to support NHPA Section 106 and NEPA compliance.
•5+ years of experience working with NEPA and working knowledge of NHPA Section 106 compliance and general archaeological practices.
•Ability to be added to archaeological permits on state, federal, and tribal lands in the U.S. Southwest (including Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, California, and Navajo Nation).
