Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and troubleshoot mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • •Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance by inspecting equipment and investigating irregularities.
  • •Troubleshoot issues to improve equipment reliability and implement safe, reliable fixes that maximize uptime.
  • •Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • •Support a safe work environment and collaborate with maintenance, operations, production staff, and supervisors.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  • •Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment (lumber manufacturing knowledge is an asset).
  • •Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
  • •Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery.
  • •Ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule and document maintenance activities.
