Job Summary

Provide senior technical leadership for enterprise middleware platforms, owning the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle of IBM MQ as a Service. Serve as the SME and escalation point for middleware and monitoring tools (Datadog, NetBrain, LiveNX/LiveWire), define engineering standards and governance, and guide reference architectures with Enterprise Architecture. Manage lifecycle for legacy/EOL technologies, drive vulnerability remediation and IT risk exceptions, and mentor engineers to ensure production-ready, compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead architecture, engineering, and operational ownership of IBM MQ as a Service, including availability, security, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
•Act as the SME and escalation point for enterprise middleware platforms.
•Oversee enterprise monitoring platforms and middleware technologies to ensure effective design, implementation, and operations across environments.
•Define and maintain enterprise middleware engineering standards, best practices, and governance processes, partnering with Enterprise Architecture on reference architectures.
•Manage middleware platform lifecycle (including legacy/EOL transitions), lead vulnerability remediation and IT risk exceptions, and collaborate with audit, risk, and compliance teams while mentoring engineers.

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
•10+ years of experience in middleware, platform, or integration engineering.
•Deep expertise in IBM MQ and messaging platforms.
•Hands-on experience with enterprise middleware technologies including Tomcat, Apache, NGINX, ActiveMQ, IIS, .NET, and Azure Service Bus.
•Experience managing legacy systems and EOL platform transitions, including support for security, risk, audit, and compliance in regulated environments.
