Job Summary

Senior engineering leadership role leading the development of urban drainage modelling and wastewater hydraulic projects. You’ll guide a technical delivery team within a UK-wide water practice, influence project delivery with senior client engagement, and shape the future of the city’s drainage network while collaborating with a 350-strong UK-wide team and the Global Water Team.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the development of urban drainage modelling capability, ensuring the team stays ahead of evolving methods, tools, and standards
•Support the team lead with day-to-day management of the technical delivery team
•Provide authoritative technical input on urban drainage projects, collaborating with the wastewater team to enable innovative project delivery
•Apply independent professional judgement to solve complex engineering challenges and drive innovation
•Build strong, trusted client relationships and facilitate internal and external project meetings

Key Requirements

•A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM
•Experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to check the technical outputs of others prior to issue
•Good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards
•Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills
