Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Policy, Framework Drafting & Regulatory Research: Draft and update group-wide Financial Crime policies, standards, and frameworks; conduct regulatory research and benchmarking across UK/EU; develop sources for new client verticals and provide advisory support on policy queries.
•Business Partnership & Control Reviews: Map existing financial crime controls across units, address friction points, support 1st line onboarding of crypto-exposed clients, maintain enhancement logs, and document current-state processes.
•Tooling, Automation & AI Support: Configure crypto compliance tools (transaction monitoring, screening, Travel Rule), identify automation opportunities, support rollout of AI-assisted tooling, and maintain AI governance documentation.
•Investigations, Risk Assessment & Executive Reporting Support: Conduct on-chain investigations, support the annual BWRA, collate MLRO inputs, prepare executive packs, and monitor regulatory developments.
•Management Information & Analysis: Produce MI on Financial Crime health, develop dashboards, perform trend analysis to support leadership commentary.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience in AML/CTF Compliance, Financial Crime, or Regulatory Risk within financial services — ideally payments, FX, banking, FinTech or Crypto.
•Strong understanding of stablecoins, public blockchains, wallet infrastructures and the crypto compliance toolset (on-chain analytics, screening, Travel Rule).
•Proven ability to draft clear, technically accurate compliance documentation (policies, procedures, risk assessments, committee papers, briefing notes).
•Working knowledge of UK and/or EU financial crime regulation, including crypto regulation (MiCA, TFR / Travel Rule, FATF guidance).
•Analytical mindset with comfort working with data; Excel to a high standard; familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and/or SQL is preferred.
