Job Summary

Build and integrate robotic mechatronics systems for live solar environments, rapidly prototyping and deploying new capabilities. Work across mechanical design (CAD, 3D printing), electrical bring-up (soldering, wiring, validation), embedded and firmware troubleshooting, and robotics software integration (Python/Bash, Linux, log analysis). Execute engineering test plans, support field testing and deployment, and collaborate with autonomy, software, and hardware teams to improve reliability and iteration speed.

Key Responsibilities

•Rapidly prototype and integrate robotic hardware systems, including fixtures, mounts, brackets, and engineering test equipment.
•Integrate sensors, actuators, controllers, embedded systems, and supporting electronics; perform electrical rework and hardware bring-up.
•Develop and use Python/Bash scripts to configure, deploy, and debug software on Linux-based robotic platforms; collect and analyze logs.
•Develop and execute engineering test plans and validation procedures; build and maintain test setups and development platforms.
•Support field testing, deployment, and continuous improvement, including identifying recurring failure modes and driving long-term fixes.

Pay and Benefits

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
•2+ years developing, integrating, testing, or deploying robotic or mechatronic systems in real-world environments.
•Hands-on mechanical assembly experience using CAD, rapid prototyping, and 3D printing.
•Experience soldering, wiring, troubleshooting, and reworking electrical systems, including connectors and signal wiring.
•Strong Python and Linux command-line experience, including debugging integrated hardware/electrical/firmware/software systems.
