Job Summary

Support AECOM’s Mining Division by performing geotechnical exploration, laboratory testing, and evaluations for surface mining and mine-waste storage projects. Conduct analyses such as liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement, then prepare and review calculation packages and contribute to geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications. Present results to internal and client teams and help review instrumentation and monitoring reporting while spending time in the field.

•Perform specific and moderate portions of geotechnical work under supervision for mid- to large complex projects.
•Plan, implement, and oversee geotechnical exploration and laboratory testing programs, including field work.
•Conduct geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses.
•Prepare and review calculation packages; assist with development of geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications.
•Prepare technical presentations of evaluation results and support review of instrumentation and instrumentation monitoring reports.

•Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
