Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and drive the Community product roadmap focused on engagement loops, viral growth, and network effects that spread Acorns organically.
  • •Own key metrics (DAU, sharing behavior, referral rates, retention, habit formation) and be accountable for moving them.
  • •Build experimentation practice from scratch by defining hypotheses, instrumenting correctly, learning fast, and scaling what works.
  • •Turn user insights, competitive signals, and data into a prioritized backlog of high-confidence bets.
  • •Coordinate with partnering teams as the connective tissue between the Community team and the broader Acorns organization.

Key Requirements

  • •Own growth or engagement products in social, gaming, or high-growth consumer settings with measurable impact on DAU, retention, or viral coefficients.
  • •Experience with k-factor, referral loops, engagement mechanics, or social graph features at a practitioner level.
  • •Run A/B experiments end-to-end, including defining hypotheses, instrumenting tests, interpreting results, and making decisions.
  • •Ability to write SQL to pull and analyze your own data rather than relying on analysts.
  • •Experience shipping products from ambiguous briefs to live market in small teams with limited resources.
