Job Summary

Develop and sustain safety-critical avionics software for air traffic control systems, working through requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, and maintenance. You’ll troubleshoot complex issues in a large legacy code base, contribute to DevSecOps pipelines, and build deployments with containers and Kubernetes/Helm. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and lead/mentor junior engineers within an Agile environment in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain avionics software for safety-critical solutions for air traffic management systems.
•Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues within a large legacy code base.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement software solutions meeting program and customer requirements.
•Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives, including pipelines, automation, and orchestration tooling.
•Lead and mentor junior engineers while participating in Agile development and maintaining documentation/compliance.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
•Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English across all levels of an organization (verbal and written).
•U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under the program/contract.
•Strong experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) and compiled languages such as C, C++, or Java.
•Proficiency with build systems (Make, CMake, or Maven) and Unix/Linux environments.
