Job Summary

Lead the “0 to 1” New Ventures team, setting vision, strategy, and goals for ideation, incubation, and delivery of new bets. Serve as a GM for cross-functional teams, identifying and securing net-new growth opportunities through partner relationships and internal collaboration. Partner with teams across the Thumbtack marketplace to build and launch innovative products and capabilities beyond core experiences, driving incremental customer and marketplace value.

Key Responsibilities

•Set the vision, strategy, and goals for the New Ventures team.
•Serve as a General Manager (GM) to lead cross-functional teams across ideation, incubation, and delivery of new bets.
•Identify new bets and commercial opportunities to unlock incremental growth.
•Identify, acquire, and collaborate with external partners to deliver net-new growth opportunities.
•Lead bi-annual planning and secure resourcing to deliver a compelling roadmap, while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, strategy, and/or management consulting (or comparable experience).
•Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners and deliver customer-centric solutions.
•Strong GM and owner mindset with demonstrated strategy, product, ops, and problem-solving skills.
•Highly flexible and adaptable, able to pivot and juggle multiple initiatives while executing.
•Proven ability to manage, utilize, and prioritize time and efforts, including planning and resourcing.
