Key Responsibilities

  • •Build daily MAG P&L reporting and intraday dashboards for open positions, exposures, and capital utilization with minute refresh on event days, including attribution by trader, strategy, venue, league, and bet type.
  • •Own the dbt layer powering downstream reporting with versioning, testing, documentation, data quality, access controls, and audit trails aligned to firewall requirements.
  • •Produce auditable monthly close-period snapshots and lender-facing covenant reporting packages in partnership with Novig.
  • •Build data plumbing for onboarding new venues, traders, and strategies, including normalized feeds, attribution, P&L slicing, and risk views ready before day one.
  • •Partner with the GM on backtesting and scenario analysis and build self-serve analytics so GM and traders can answer recurring questions without the loop.

Key Requirements

  • •4 to 6 years in analytics engineering with strong SQL and dbt, and fluency in Hex or Metabase.
  • •Experience with financial services or trading data (position vs. P&L, realized vs. unrealized) and comfort modeling fees, slippage, and attribution.
  • •Build and own analytics end to end, including versioned, tested, documented dbt pipelines with traceability to source trades.
  • •Collaborate directly with GM, traders, and engineers without translation; be comfortable as the sole analytics owner in a lean team.
  • •AI-native workflow: use Claude Code and Cursor and apply LLM tooling as a force multiplier on production work.
