Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage design packages on a diverse range of projects from concept to construction stage, including major highway projects, bus infrastructure projects, and Greenways; apply UK and/or Irish design standards (DMRB, Cycle by Design, DMURS, Cycle Design Manual) to deliver safe, people-focused transport solutions
  • •Deliver high-quality deliverables and services to clients within time and budget constraints, meeting standards
  • •Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team with technicians, engineers and specialists from other disciplines
  • •Guide clients, local authorities and stakeholders through technical challenges and statutory approval processes
  • •Mentor apprentices and contribute to a culture of growth and continuous learning

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or similar; commitment to progressing toward Chartership in future; post-graduate experience in civil engineering, highways, public transport and greenways; knowledge of UK/Irish design standards including DMRB, DMURS, LTN 1/20, LTN 1/24, NTA Cycle Design Manual; knowledge of major transport contract documentation (NEC/Public Works Contract) and related specifications to MCHW/MCRW; knowledge of statutory planning and design approvals in the UK and/or Ireland
