Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical design and CAD support for projects, generating design phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, models, sections, details, specifications, and material lists.
  • •Assist with drafting tasks for substation projects, including physical and civil layout drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy and client alignment.
  • •Use 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) to prepare detailed substation drawings and grounding plans.
  • •Adhere to standard practices for proper illustration, fit, form, and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerance, and quantity calculations.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure plans comply with city codes, state and federal regulations.

Salary: USD 67,800 - 108,400 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum of 7 years of relevant post-education experience in drafting and design support.
  • •Knowledge of drafting and design support principles, practices, processes, methods and techniques.
  • •Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • •Ability to perform technical computations involving geometry and mathematics, interpret plans and specifications, and compare to standards.
