Develop and deliver compliant thermal design solutions for AI, cloud, HPC, edge, enterprise networking, and server/storage products. You’ll evaluate concept feasibility for thermal performance, create thermal solutions for CPU/GPU and related components, and maintain key thermal ingredient roadmaps. Work with cross-functional stakeholders, run analytical modeling and simulation, support physical testing, collaborate with vendor partners, and present findings to engineering and management to improve cost, power, and cooling efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•Align with stakeholders on product requirements, performance metrics, and boundary conditions.
•Develop approaches to evaluate all thermal aspects of a product concept considering prototype availability, schedule, and thermal risk.
•Develop thermal solutions internally or with vendor partners, including heat sinks, cold plates, air movers, air shrouds, sealing, thermal interface material, venting, and thermal controls.
•Present findings to thermal engineers and management to identify problem areas and opportunities to improve design for cost, power, and cooling efficiency.
•Follow existing product development practices and improve them where necessary or desirable.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 174,250 - 225,500

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermal engineering plus 15 years of relevant industry experience, or a PhD without experience.
•Experience using CFD modeling for internal flow and electronic cooling applications.
•Proven experience instrumenting thermal tests and test plans.
•Strong communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams and ability to work through challenging compromises to reach optimal thermal solutions.
