Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering technical excellence, ownership, continuous learning, and psychological safety.
  • •Define and execute the technical strategy for the Health Records platform to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and extensibility.
  • •Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to deliver member-facing experiences powered by health record data.
  • •Guide the architecture and evolution of systems for ingesting, processing, governing, and exposing health record data from external healthcare ecosystems, including FHIR.
  • •Establish engineering best practices for secure, compliant systems and drive execution through planning, prioritization, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years building and operating large-scale backend systems and distributed platforms in production environments.
  • •3+ years leading engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and developing senior engineers and technical leaders.
  • •Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
  • •Strong understanding of backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, and operational excellence.
  • •Experience building secure systems for sensitive customer or healthcare data; familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR is strongly preferred.
