Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, thermal, firmware, safety, manufacturing) to deliver custom battery packs on schedule and within budget.
  • •Translate product-level requirements (weight, volume, power density, thermal constraints, cycle life) into actionable engineering requirements for battery and power teams.
  • •Manage the hardware development lifecycle (EVT, DVT, PVT) and proactively identify technical, supply chain, and schedule risks with mitigation strategies.
  • •Partner with Global Supply Chain to manage relationships with cell manufacturers, external pack assemblers, and component vendors.
  • •Coordinate qualification and safety testing campaigns to meet transport and military safety standards and integrate battery systems into internal product platform teams.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
  • •4+ years as a Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, or Lead Engineer delivering complex hardware systems, with at least 2 years focused on lithium-ion battery packs, BMS, or electric powertrains.
  • •Strong understanding of battery pack design, including cell chemistry (NMC, LFP, Li-Metal), thermal runaway mitigation, BMS architectures, and high-voltage safety.
  • •Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable making high-stakes decisions with incomplete data.
  • •Ability to translate technical challenges into clear executive summaries and actionable plans for cross-functional stakeholders.
