  • •Lead end-to-end development, refinement, and execution of Visa’s LAC policy strategy aligned with global goals and business priorities.
  • •Act as principal architect of regional policy design, translating regulatory and political developments into actionable, evidence-based policy responses.
  • •Build and run the operating backbone of the LAC Government Affairs function, including budget and workforce planning, reporting, and governance.
  • •Translate strategic priorities into country-specific policy roadmaps and advocacy plans in coordination with market and subregion leads.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years with a PhD.
  • •12+ years of relevant experience in public policy, government affairs, or related fields, with exposure to payments, financial services, technology, or other highly regulated sectors.
  • •Experience in the payments industry is essential, with strong digital services and/or technology interest as a plus.
  • •Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence and persuade at C-suite level and with senior policy makers and regulators.
  • •Fluency in English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus.
