Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic asset management advice as a trusted partner, translating operational, engineering, and performance information into clear insights for senior decision-makers.
  • •Lead delivery of asset management projects using AMCL methodologies to ensure outputs are high-quality, on time, and within budget.
  • •Embed improved asset management processes, asset information practices, and value-based decision-making frameworks with client teams.
  • •Undertake asset management maturity assessments using the IAM 10-box model, GFMAM, and ISO standards with AMCL recognised tools and methodologies.
  • •Drive lifecycle and TotEx optimisation, supporting AMP8 framework commitments through strategic asset planning, risk-based investment prioritisation, and operational resilience improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years’ experience within asset management, strategy & planning, reliability engineering, or performance improvement in regulated sectors such as water, energy, transport, or defence.
  • •Strong understanding of the UK water regulatory landscape, including Ofwat and performance commitments/asset health measures (e.g., PR14–PR24).
  • •Ability to interpret asset and performance data to inform decisions and deliver evidence-based recommendations.
  • •Confident communication across engineers, analysts, and executive leaders, with strong collaboration across client and internal teams.
  • •Degree in engineering, science, business, or a related discipline; IAM Certificate or Diploma (or willingness to work towards it).
