Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform concrete cylinder testing according to industry standards and laboratory procedures to support quality construction outcomes.
  • •Generate accurate testing data for engineering evaluations, project compliance, and client reporting.
  • •Coordinate sample receiving, logging, labeling, tracking, storage, and organization across material types.
  • •Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration schedules, and housekeeping standards for safe operations.
  • •Support quality management activities, audits, continuous improvement, and communicate discrepancies or non-conformances.

Key Requirements

  • •1 to 5 years of experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally with concrete materials testing experience.
  • •Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Materials Testing, or a related discipline (asset).
  • •Knowledge of CSA, ASTM, and other standardized laboratory testing procedures.
  • •Experience managing samples, documentation, and laboratory workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus accurate data entry.
