Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage design packages for major road, greenway, and urban transport schemes from concept to construction.
  • •Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians, coordinating across drainage, structures, and environmental disciplines.
  • •Apply Irish transport standards including DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, and TII Publications to create safe, people-focused transport solutions.
  • •Work with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to address technical challenges and support statutory approval processes (Part 8 / ABP / SID / EIA).
  • •Support and coach junior engineers, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • •Significant experience in road, urban, or Active Travel infrastructure design.
  • •Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage project delivery.
  • •Working knowledge of Irish transport standards including TII Publications, DMURS, DMRB, and Cycle Design Manual.
  • •Experience with statutory planning and design approvals in Ireland.
