Key Responsibilities

  • •Weigh and grade incoming ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap loads using inbound scales, and direct customers to unloading areas.
  • •Operate outgoing scales by identifying commodity codes and computing ticket totals for payment.
  • •Assist customers with pricing and material acceptance questions while maintaining customer account contacts.
  • •Coordinate with office personnel to ensure accurate, timely documentation of purchasing transactions and internal control compliance.
  • •Test scales for accuracy and report equipment malfunctions; support backup truck scale operations when needed.
