Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with the design and documentation of Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, and/or Audiovisual systems, including telecommunications infrastructure and related technology components.
  • •Support preparation of design deliverables from schematic design through construction documentation.
  • •Participate in design coordination meetings with internal project teams and external stakeholders, including gathering and documenting client requirements and existing conditions.
  • •Prepare design narratives, drawings, specifications, and supporting project documentation under direction of senior staff, and review technology system submittals and RFIs.
  • •Support construction administration including site surveys, observations, existing conditions assessments, punch list reviews, and contractor coordination while maintaining project files and quality control processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • •3–5+ years of experience supporting the design of Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, Audiovisual, or other building technology systems in the AEC consulting/engineering/technology infrastructure industry.
  • •Basic understanding of building technology system design principles, methods, and industry practices.
  • •Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary project teams, manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and produce quality deliverables with guidance from senior staff.
  • •Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards, including IBC, NFPA, BICSI, ANSI/TIA, AVIXA, and ADA requirements.
