Job Summary

Design and deliver forecasting, planning, and performance-management models for Xero’s Finance G&A Data & Analytics team. Key Responsibilities

•Design and deliver forecasting, planning, and performance-management models and analytics for Finance and G&A teams.
•Embed models into core decision rhythms such as Central dashboards, MBR, and QBR cycles.
•Partner with G&A leaders to frame problems and use data to balance growth, profitability, risk, and people outcomes.
•Conduct scenario analysis tied to GTM and Product data and optimise operating expenses across vendor, cloud, travel, and property spend.
•Mentor analysts and data scientists and help shape how Xero applies AI and advanced analytics in an agent-first, self-serve environment.

Key Requirements

•Strong SQL skills for extracting, wrangling, and analysing large, complex datasets.
•Solid Python or R experience across the full data science workflow, from data wrangling and feature engineering to model deployment.
•Strong grounding in statistical and machine learning techniques, including time-series forecasting, regression, classification, and causal inference.
•Comfortable using data visualisation tools like Tableau and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.
•Experience partnering with Finance or similar corporate functions to support planning, performance measurement, and decision-making.
