Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare, review, and submit import/export customs declarations on VNACCS/VCIS (via ECUS), selecting the correct customs type codes (A12, E31, E62, B11, A42, B13, etc.).
  • •Determine HS codes and product/item names accurately and maintain an up-to-date, defensible internal HS code library for audit readiness.
  • •Maintain auditable tracking and segregation of raw materials by A12 (duty-paid) vs E31 (duty-exempt), including reconciliation of customs records with warehouse and accounting records.
  • •Manage end-to-end import for machinery, equipment, and spare parts for maintenance, including classification, import licensing, and any special permits/inspections; handle temporary import when applicable.
  • •Coordinate cross-functionally and represent the company with customs/tax authorities and auditors, including annual customs final settlement reporting and post-clearance audit support.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in import-export/customs compliance in a manufacturing environment (ideally FDI).
  • •Direct experience with A12 and E31 customs type codes, annual settlement reporting, and change-of-use-purpose (A42) procedures.
  • •Proven experience importing machinery, equipment, and/or spare parts for factory maintenance.
  • •Working directly with Vietnam Customs on declarations, price consultations, and post-clearance audits.
  • •Fluent Vietnamese and working-level English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
