Join Stepful as a Legal Operations Associate to support the Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs team in a rapidly expanding edtech/healthcare training company. You’ll own reporting deadlines, licensing and instructor registrations across jurisdictions, and help build scalable processes. You’ll also explore AI use cases for compliance monitoring and workflow automation, manage cross-functional projects, and drive efficiency in a regulatory-heavy environment.

Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Own reporting deadlines and submissions related to trade school reports, renewals, and submissions (estimated 3-5 per month)
•Maintain licensing and instructor registrations across licensed jurisdictions
•Create internal resources to support cross-functional teams
•Develop use cases for AI in compliance monitoring, research, and workflow automation while assessing risks and ethics
•Manage and support cross-functional projects across Stepful to execute Legal Compliance & Public Affairs initiatives efficiently

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 80,000 - 100,000 annually

Key Requirements

•minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (legal ops experience, paralegal experience, or project management experience)
•experience project managing initiatives in a fast-paced environment with a variety of business stakeholders
•excellent communication, analytical and writing skills across a variety of stakeholders
•strategic thinker with the ability to think holistically while focusing on day-to-day project management and driving results
•ability to create and manage internal resources and information management processes
