Own Clay’s month-end close end-to-end and drive finance transformation through automation. Key Responsibilities

•Own the monthly close end-to-end (journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, reporting) and drive finance transformation/automation.
•Support audit readiness as a key point of contact for external auditors and explore real-time audit tooling using AI.
•Own Clay’s ERP and connected finance systems (payroll, expense, equity, billing), including integrations, data pipelines, and implementation efforts.
•Build AI-powered workflows to automate reconciliations, variance analysis, and close tasks, writing SQL to extract and validate data across systems.
•Partner with GTM, Product, and Operations on finance-adjacent projects and support FP&A with data infrastructure and modeling.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to public accounting and high-growth startup environments.
•Hands-on operational accounting experience, including owning the close and managing reconciliations and messy data.
•Experience implementing or administering a finance system or ERP.
•Proficiency in SQL, including querying large datasets, writing joins, and debugging data issues.
•Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate accounting or finance work.
