Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform basic service work using clearly prescribed procedures, including responding to customer requests for connections and disconnections.
  • •Inform customers of needed repairs, answer basic questions, and ensure customers understand and are satisfied with work completed.
  • •Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary and may read meters for billing.
  • •Assist with activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies, including potential stand-by duty and emergency call-outs.
  • •Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements, while ensuring safe operation of assigned vehicles and equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED equivalent and ability to perform assigned service work using prescribed procedures.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards.
  • •Complete and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ), OJT, and required classroom training/certifications for the Service Learning Path.
  • •Ability to use the company’s internet/intranet resources for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
  • •Ability to meet physical demands (e.g., lifting/carrying up to 45 lb and 53 lb in specified scenarios) and work outdoors in varying weather, including ladders/attics/under houses as needed.
