Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
  • •Provide troubleshooting and repair for mechanical malfunctions and respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.
  • •Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems, and complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
  • •Comply with lockout/tagout and confined space safety programs, and assist with production startup/shutdown activities and other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •6 months of industrial maintenance experience listed on the application, or currently enrolled in an industrial maintenance program, or one year of classroom training from a technical college (food industry preferred).
  • •Maintenance experience may include work in mechanic, fabricator, electrician, or plant maintenance.
  • •Ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • •Ability to diagnose and repair equipment problems without supervision.
  • •Able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
