Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of nominated mechanical components, modules, subsystems and configuration items. Understand the operation and functional performance requirements of mechanical hardware assigned to their responsibility.
  • •Provide assistance/direction to integration teams in resolving trouble reports that involve mechanical issues.
  • •Conduct the review of contractual documentation assigned to their responsibility. Identify project and product risks and escalate using the project’s defined processes.
  • •Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • •This position will operate within a matrix organisation and supports the MV CLCM Program directly.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering with development to attain Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) recognition and eligibility for RPEQ registration.
  • •Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience with a university degree.
  • •Experience conducting mechanical discipline activities including systems engineering practices (requirements development, design, integration, verification and validation).
  • •Experience developing and reviewing mechanical engineering documentation (calculations, CAD drawings, hazard logs, work instructions, test procedures, engineering reports).
  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
