Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Resident Engineer by performing construction engineering and inspection activities on complex projects/programs.
  • •Inspect and monitor construction work for compliance with project documents, standards, codes, and construction/operating permits.
  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data from the jobsite and technical documents (plans, blueprints, drawings, calculations, reports) for inspection activities.
  • •Provide technical assistance, guidance, and feedback throughout construction, including initial, follow-up, and final comprehensive inspections.
  • •Prepare and deliver written technical reports and documentation, including payment-related calculations and resolution of plan/specification interpretation differences.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of relevant post-education experience with prior construction inspection experience.
  • •T1 (Treatment) and D1 (Distribution) water main certifications (or essential professional licensure/certification[s]).
  • •Valid state driver’s license.
  • •Advanced knowledge of construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, and relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance, and record-keeping requirements.
