Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the global commodity strategy for Thermal systems, personally owning commercial success and supply-base health.
  • •Lead end-to-end sourcing for strategic components, including supplier identification, RFQ leadership, deep cost analysis, and negotiation/execution of complex contracts and statements of work.
  • •Manage supplier relationships, performance, and development timelines as the primary commercial contact, resolving critical supplier issues.
  • •Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify suppliers that meet technical, quality, and program timing goals.
  • •Use manufacturing-process knowledge to build cost models and should-cost analyses, and manage supplier development/parts availability for prototype builds and production ramp.

Key Requirements

  • •8–15 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience with hands-on Thermal Management expertise (e.g., battery cooling, HVAC, FECM, fluid transfer systems).
  • •Proven track record developing commodity strategies and personally leading complex, high-value RFQs and negotiations.
  • •Expert knowledge of component manufacturing processes and sophisticated cost-modeling techniques.
  • •Experience with automotive part launches and serial production, including product development and quality processes (APQP, PPAP).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (advanced degree preferred), plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
