Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical and physical oversight of Testing and Commissioning (T&C) activities to ensure supplier and designer deliverables meet contract requirements, authority standards, and safety regulations.
  • •Review and validate testing documentation, including T&C plans, test procedures, logical test sequencing, test results, certification evidence, and readiness for cutover.
  • •Collaborate to verify CBTC subsystem interfaces (onboard, wayside, interlocking, ATS, telecoms, PSD, SCADA, power, and OCC) are identified, traceable, and validated through testing.
  • •Evaluate and monitor Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Integration Tests, Commissioning Tests, and Operational Tests to confirm compliance with verification and validation requirements.
  • •Coordinate with supplier, designer, and operations teams to align track access, field readiness, and commissioning activities with agency safety and operational standards, and support acceptance evidence review.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education engineering experience, including transit and rail experience and infrastructure design.
  • •Minimum of 5 years of CBTC project experience.
  • •Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
  • •Deep understanding of CBTC architecture, including vital/non-vital subsystems and related interfaces such as interlockings, ATS, telecoms, and OCC.
