Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site supervision of the LWD process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control, and deliver services to the customer.
  • •Act as the lead engineer on most jobs, ensuring customer-facing data is accurate and timely and meets service quality standards.
  • •Plan and support technical aspects of operations, including mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.
  • •Properly test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
  • •Accurately complete required forms, databases, and reports, and coordinate with the Directional Driller (DD) to ensure BHA compatibility and correct tool face references.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of field experience in M/LWD.
  • •Completion of the basic M/LWD training program and successfully passing company tests (or meeting task guideline requirements).
  • •Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other wellsite data.
  • •Must possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
  • •Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards, with good communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
