Key Responsibilities

  • •Support and take responsibility for production and delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Masterplans, and other technical reports.
  • •Collaborate with the Development Planning team and project stakeholders (clients, architects, planners, and other professionals) across the development lifecycle.
  • •Mentor junior staff and supervise their work to ensure technical standards and delivery to programme and budget.
  • •Support fee proposal preparation for new projects and work with the Team Leader and Project Managers to deliver projects within budget and schedule.
  • •Attend meetings with clients and undertake negotiations with Local Authorities and other regulatory bodies.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in an analytical subject such as Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Economics or a similar field.
  • •Membership of a relevant professional institution (CIHT, SoRSA, CILT, IHE, TPS, or ICE).
  • •Proven experience in development-related Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans, including ownership of deliverables.
  • •Proficient use of and analysis of data from transportation software packages to produce high-quality transport strategies, feasibility reports, and travel/assessment documentation.
  • •Experience liaising with clients, Local Authorities, and regulatory bodies with familiarity of the UK planning system; strong communication and technical writing skills using MS Office.
