Job Summary

Analyze complex C&I and commercial real estate loan relationships to support underwriting and credit approval decisions. Create and update loan requests in the bank’s commercial loan system, spread and analyze financial statements, monitor covenants, and conduct industry research. Partner with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to track borrower performance, calculate credit exposure, and support transaction structuring and credit conversations, while mentoring other credit analysts.

Key Responsibilities

•Interpret financial statements and provide financial analysis support for underwriting complex C&I and commercial real estate loans.
•Spread financial statements, complete financial analysis documents, and update/create loan requests (modifications, renewals, annual reviews) in the bank’s commercial loan system.
•Track and complete covenant monitoring and conduct industry research to support commercial lending prospects/clients.
•Analyze and prepare complex credit approval documentation, accurately reflecting loan terms, collateral, covenants, loan grade inputs, policy exceptions, and calculating credit exposure in the system.
•Partner with Portfolio Managers to monitor assigned commercial loan portfolios and support internal/external credit conversations, transaction structuring, and special projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant work experience.
•Familiarity with corporate credit products and processes used to analyze financial data.
•Strong understanding of general bank operations and the commercial lending process.
•Experience as a Credit Analyst II (or equivalent role) is preferred.
•2–5 years of experience in financial services, banking, credit analysis, loan review, or similar background; ability to communicate clearly with executives and regulators.
