Job Summary

Develop firmware for physical layer IPs supporting high-speed serial-link protocols used in Die-2-Die and Chiplet Interconnects. Work with UCIe PHY architects to design firmware functions and sequences, build prototype control software for adaptation/equalization/control algorithms, and validate using emulation models and simulations. Implement features, support post-silicon characterization, debug customer-deployed IP issues, deliver hot fixes, and maintain thorough firmware documentation and compliance artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with UCIe PHY digital and mixed-signal architects to define firmware functions and sequences, and implement assigned firmware features
•Build system-level prototype control software to develop and validate adaptation, equalization, and control algorithms for high-speed UCIe IPs
•Validate firmware using emulation-based models and simulations; implement features with close coordination with verification and validation teams
•Support electrical and system characterization during post-silicon testing, identify FW/HW issues, and implement improvements and workarounds
•Debug IP issues during customer deployment, provide hot fixes, and create/maintain documentation for firmware design, development, bug fixes, and compliance testing

Key Requirements

•B.Tech with 14 years or M.Tech with 12 years in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
•Solid programming knowledge in C/C++ and Python
•Strong understanding of wireline communication principles and digital signal processing techniques
•Proven hands-on experience developing for hardware-based DSP acceleration engines
•Strong problem-solving and communication skills; experience with silicon validation/debug and digital verification tools is a plus
