Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with architects, design engineers, and other verification engineers to understand new CPU features to be verified.
•Build test plan documentation, accounting for interactions with other features, various design sub-units within CPU, SOC and also hardware, firmware, and software use cases if applicable.
•Estimate time required to write new feature tests and any required changes to the test environment and tools.
•Develop directed and random verification tests.
•Debug test failures to determine the root cause; work with RTL design engineers to resolve design defects and correct any stimulus or testbench issues.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a focus on computer architecture
•Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog HDL, programming in Perl/Python/Ruby, C/C++, Makefile and logic simulation
•Experience with x86, ARM or other industry-standard microprocessor architectures
•Strong understanding of computer architecture and assembly language (preferably x86)
•ASIC design verification experience of 5 to 10 years
