Job Summary

Join the Columbus Forge team to develop and maintain CMM inspection programs that ensure precision aerospace components meet quality, accuracy, and repeatability needs. You’ll apply advanced GD&T knowledge, support new product introductions and manufacturing improvements, and partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Part Family teams. The role also includes analyzing inspection results, identifying trends, supporting root cause analysis, and serving as a technical resource for CMM programming and inspection software.

Key Responsibilities

•Create, modify, and maintain CMM inspection programs to support production requirements and ensure accurate, repeatable measurement.
•Use advanced GD&T knowledge to develop inspection routines and verify components meet engineering specifications.
•Support new product introductions, manufacturing reviews, product transitions, and improvements to manufacturing standard work.
•Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Part Family teams to improve inspection processes and drive continuous improvement.
•Analyze inspection results, identify trends, and support root cause analysis to improve product quality and process capability.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED.
•1+ year of relevant experience in CMM programming, CNC programming, dimensional inspection, quality, or manufacturing support.
•Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in dimensional inspection.
•Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
•Experience supporting manufacturing, quality, or engineering teams in a precision manufacturing environment.
