Job Summary

Perform GMAW and GTAW welding and other manufacturing operations (welding, cutting, brazing, hardfacing, tacking) under general supervision to support production of parts and assemblies. Interpret work instructions such as prints and shop packets, verify procedures against quality manuals, and review work quality using visual/written standards. Follow Health, Safety and Environmental policies, operate tools and overhead crane equipment, and complete post-work inspections as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Use specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations for parts and assemblies while meeting regulatory requirements.
•Perform own work and provide assistance to others as directed.
•Weld, cut, braze, hardface, or tack using primary GMAW and GTAW processes on a variety of materials.
•Interpret and understand work instructions (prints, shop packets, and related procedures per the quality manual) and perform manufacturing math calculations.
•Follow Health, Safety and Environmental standards, operate specialized lifting equipment, and perform post-work inspection of output.

Key Requirements

•Completion of high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience.
•Three years of experience and certification in welding or equivalent (preferred).
•Ability to operate an overhead crane and hand tools such as grinders and hammers.
•Ability to interpret and understand work instructions including prints and shop packets, following quality manual procedures.
•Competence in reviewing work quality against visual and written standards using precision measuring instruments.
