Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide clear, solution-oriented legal advice to enable business strategy while managing legal risk.
  • •Resolve complex employment matters and provide expert legal advice on high-stakes issues and disputes.
  • •Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and develop comprehensive employment risk management frameworks.
  • •Partner with enterprise business counterparts to help deliver effective legal services and safeguard PayPal’s legal interests.
  • •Oversee employment litigation and agency matters, manage outside counsel, and escalate complex issues to senior legal leadership when appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant experience and a Juris doctorate degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •J.D. degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • •Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law, with Canada and/or Latin America experience strongly preferred.
  • •5-8 years of employment law experience across both private practice and in-house roles.
  • •Demonstrated ability to work independently within a legal team and collaborate cross-functionally.
