Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct geomorphic and flood risk assessments and provide design support for primary industries and the wider business.
  • •Mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert and technical reviewer across the organization.
  • •Lead field and desktop geomorphology work, focusing on fluvial morphodynamics and sustainable rural catchments.
  • •Utilize GIS and numerical modelling to drive delivery of natural resource solutions and geoanalytics.
  • •Collaborate with the Rural Water team to deliver high-quality, scalable geomorphic designs.

Key Requirements

  • •Postgraduate qualification with specialization in Physical Geography, Geomorphology, Hydraulic Engineering, Engineering geology, Hydrology or related
  • •10+ (senior) or 15+ (principal) years' experience in applied geomorphic assessment and/or design
  • •Proficiency in hydraulic and/or landscape evolution modelling software
  • •Current, clean driver's license
  • •Excellent GIS and communication skills with a solid foundation in numerical modelling, geoanalytics and/or hydraulic/geomorphic design
