Head of Model Risk Oversight

Lead Model Risk Management (2LOD) across Monzo Bank Europe, establishing and scaling the EU-wide MRM framework, governance, validation standards, and model inventory. Oversee independent validation of material and high-risk models—including credit, fraud/financial crime, and financial risk models—while issuing formal 2LOD opinions and driving monitoring for drift and performance. Manage committees, regulatory alignment (ECB/EBA, IFRS 9, GDPR), and AI Act governance, plus grow the 2LOD function and partner with regulators and auditors.
