Job Summary

Design, develop, document, and test software and control/diagnostic systems for safety-critical aerospace technologies. Partner with end users to translate program intent and requirements into technical solutions, ensuring hardware/software standards and compliance. Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight while collaborating on multidisciplinary research. Build and implement procedures, protect novel ideas via IP processes, and support software development for power control units and embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, document, and test control and diagnostic systems with logical and mathematical solutions.
•Analyze system capabilities to determine end-user needs and resolve issues across program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition.
•Ensure hardware and software standards are met while innovating and implementing compliant technologies and sub-systems.
•Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight for the software engineering efforts.
•Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate on development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years progressive Software Engineering experience; or a master’s degree with 5+ years experience.
•5+ years of experience with embedded C programming.
•3+ years of experience leading medium to large software engineering teams.
•3+ years of experience with industry standards for the full software engineering lifecycle of safety-critical systems such as DO-178C.
•3+ years of experience with software development for Generator or Bus Power Control Units.
