Job Summary

Provide electrical and winding repair services for generator HV windings on customer sites as part of Baker Hughes’ BRUSH Power Generation team. Perform winding inspections, electrical testing, maintenance and repairs, including stator re-wedge work, and support on-site strip and rewind operations. Interpret technical drawings and specifications, prepare method statements and detailed reports, conduct on-site risk assessments, and supervise/train both internal and external customers while traveling frequently.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform winding inspection, electrical testing, maintenance and repairs on generator HV windings on customer sites globally.
•Conduct basic mechanical strip-down and rebuilds to access windings, including high/low-voltage electrical testing.
•Provide visual winding inspections of the stator, rotor, and excitation system and perform in-situ winding repairs such as stator re-wedge work.
•Support on-site stator strip and rewind operations as part of a team.
•Interpret technical drawings/specifications, prepare method statements and detailed reports, attend technical meetings, and perform on-site risk assessments.

Key Requirements

•Have a technical degree from an accredited school and 3+ years of field service experience.
•Use tooling including basic hand tools, multi-meters, meggers, rigging equipment, generator-specific tooling, and HIPot.
•Have experience with air, hydrogen, and liquid-cooled generators in 2-pole and 4-pole configurations.
•Have experience performing generator high-voltage tests such as PI, DC Leakage, and HIPot.
•Be able and willing to travel frequently (domestically and internationally) on short notice for 75–85% of the time.
