Job Summary

Entry-level Automation Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems at the Brantford GTFC site. Will perform preventative maintenance, analyze trends, and ensure optimal performance of robots and conveyors while developing skills in mechanical, electrical, digital, software, and robotics disciplines within a continuous, 24/7 operations environment.

•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment including autonomous robots for case, layer, and pallet movements
•Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on equipment
•Analyze trends and technical data to gain insights and proactively identify issues
•Ensure optimal performance and efficiency in fulfillment of customer orders
•Learn and develop mechanical, electrical, digital/software, and robotics skills and build technical capabilities in others

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 26.96 hourly

Key Requirements

•Minimum high school diploma or diploma from a trade/technical college in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Robotics, Engineering, or Digital/Software
•Ability to work in shift rotations (evenings, overnights, early mornings)
•Ability to work at heights and to climb stairs/ladders/platforms around equipment
•Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
•Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills
