Job Summary

Work in the Newcastle Environmental Health and Safety team delivering hands-on occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, Work Health and Safety (WHS), and environmental compliance services. Perform field inspections, monitoring and sampling, hazardous materials assessments (including asbestos and lead), air quality and microbiological assessments, and asbestos clearance activities. Partner with clients, support WHS legislation and best-practice guidance, and produce high-quality technical reports, clearance certificates, and management plans for projects across NSW and Australia.

•Build, maintain, and strengthen trusted relationships with clients.
•Support projects with practical guidance on WHS legislation and best practice.

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene, WHS, or a related discipline.
•Demonstrated experience in asbestos and hazardous materials work, including a current Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA) or willingness to work toward it.
•Strong technical report writing skills, including preparing clear, well-structured reports and proposals.
•Hold a current, valid driver’s licence.
•Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice.
