Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide crisis intervention and comprehensive services including emotional support, arranging transportation, and accompanying victims to medical/legal/law enforcement appointments when requested.
  • •Assess imminent health/safety risks and conduct lethality assessment and safety planning for victims of domestic abuse.
  • •Assist victims in navigating systems to obtain desired services and refer to appropriate services for continued care.
  • •Liaise with the Installation Family Advocacy Program Manager and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate victim services, training, and community response.
  • •Maintain ongoing case management with required data entry, ensure timely contact during crises, and provide information on victim rights and resources.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 41,505 - 62,255

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related fields (social/work, psychology, marriage and family, child counseling, behavioral science, education, community health, or public health).
  • •Two years of experience working with victims of domestic abuse/sexual assault or providing victim advocacy services.
  • •Working knowledge of family violence dynamics, safety planning, risk assessments, and relevant federal/state laws, family law, and the Victim Rights Bill.
  • •Ability to intervene in crisis situations using sound professional judgment, ethics, and empathy; demonstrate sensitivity and the ability to build trusting helping relationships.
  • •Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle license and be able to provide on-call 24/7 victim advocacy services.
