Job Summary

Conduct teller transactions with speed and accuracy while meeting service-quality standards. Safeguard bank assets and support the bank’s growth by promoting and cross selling products and services. Set up, balance, and close teller stations, record sales of monetary instruments, and assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machines. Float/travel to multiple branch locations as needed, follow policies, and complete required compliance training.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive and pay out cash and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station; assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machine as assigned.
•Record sales of monetary instruments and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
•Cross sell bank products and services and cross train to open basic new consumer accounts.
•Follow bank policies and procedures, exercise judgment on holds and check cashing decisions, and adhere to the work schedule while floating between branches as needed.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to four years high school or GED plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Ability to effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group settings.
•Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and use these skills with money and measurements.
•Ability to follow simple multi-step instructions and exercise sound judgment in standardized situations.
•Complete required BSA/AML and other compliance training as assigned.
