Job Summary

Analyze data and build implementation plans to optimize production processes by eliminating waste and reducing operating costs. Develop and execute packaging technology strategies from concept through commercialization, run trials, and drive quality and productivity improvements. Partner with operations, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to implement packaging equipment and material best practices, maintain equipment specifications and OEE measures, and lead by mentoring less experienced packaging engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and execute packaging technology strategies from concept to commercialization, including growth initiatives, quality improvements, productivity/cost-reduction work, troubleshooting, and packaging support as needed.
•Conduct trials to validate efficient and effective packaging execution.
•Build and maintain internal/external relationships to cost-effectively implement engineering and equipment initiatives, communicating progress and incorporating feedback.
•Leverage best practices and technologies across functions and sites to generate value-added ideas for existing or new products.
•Develop and maintain equipment specifications to determine overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and mentor less experienced packaging engineers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) and 5+ years of experience with process and packaging equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Design and execute packaging technology strategies from concept through commercialization, including growth initiatives, quality improvements, and cost-reduction/troubleshooting activities.
•Conduct trials to ensure packaging execution is efficient and effective.
•Work collaboratively with internal and external partners and communicate progress with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
•Provide technical leadership by training, mentoring, and guiding less experienced packaging engineers.
