Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the T&E Compliance team, directly managing FAA and FCC compliance program managers and owning hiring, development, performance, and career progression.
  • •Own FAA and FCC regulatory compliance from strategy through execution, including identifying regulatory risk early and prioritizing workload across portfolios.
  • •Serve as the executive-facing liaison to FAA, FCC, NTIA, DoD, and other regulators for T&E matters, including escalations and novel-technology engagements.
  • •Oversee FAA workstreams (COAs, 44807 exemptions, Part 21/91/107/135 operations, type certification, airworthiness, BVLOS strategy, and DoD airworthiness interfaces).
  • •Build compliance metrics, dashboards, training curriculum, and risk management strategy; track regulatory changes and ensure compliance is reflected in T&E policies and site SOPs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • •7+ years of progressive experience in aviation and/or spectrum regulatory compliance with depth in FAA or FCC and familiarity with the other.
  • •3+ years of direct people-management experience, including managing program managers or subject-matter experts.
  • •Working knowledge of FAA regulatory framework (COAs, 44807 exemptions, Part 21/91/107/135, airworthiness) for UAS and autonomous systems.
  • •Working knowledge of FCC/NTIA spectrum frameworks (STAs, experimental licenses, spectrum coordination, RF equipment certification) and proven engagement with FAA/FCC/NTIA/DoD.
